AgrippinaWP (アグリッピナ, Agurippina?) is the mother of Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus.
Profile[]
Background[]
Mother to Nero and sister to Caligula, after Nero's father's death, Agrippina married the Emperor ClaudiusWP and plotted so her child would rise to power. She married Nero to Claudia Octavia, the Emperor's daughter, regardless of their genders, in order to further strengthen Nero's claim to the throne over her step-brother Britannicus.[2] Agrippina manipulated politics, from Nero's marriage to the death of her husband Emperor, so that Nero would become Emperor. Or more specifically, so that Agrippina would become the mother of the Emperor.[1]
After Nero became emperor, as a result of growing issues every year due to her selfish rule and hindering Nero's attempts at bringing the Roman Senate to heel and stop its corruption, Nero decided to have her mother assassinated to remove her as an obstacle to her plans. But the plot failed, and in 59 AD, Agrippina was instead cut down in public, with Nero accusing her of poisoning her and thus judging her guilty of treason deserving of capital punishment.[2]
Agrippina is known for having caused her daughter's mental instability by slowly poisoning her over her life.[1] Agrippina would hold the antidote to Nero's poison as ransom to keep Nero obeying her, giving it to her every now and then. After Nero eventually had Agrippina executed however, Agrippina took the antidote to the grave with her, and as a result Nero would descend into madness from the poison.[3]
Appearance[]
A "femme fatale" with straight bangs and her belly out.[4]
Personality[]
While she would call Nero by endearing names and say that she loved her, Agrippina was manipulative and never saw Nero as anything more than her personal doll, a tool to make her the Emperor's mother.[1] According to Nero, she was someone who would go as far as killing her own child if they disobeyed her.[5]
Role[]
Fate/EXTRA[]
In the manga, she is seen in visions of Nero's past.[5][6][2] She first appears bringing Nero news of the death of her adoptive father Emperor Claudius, meaning Nero is now the emperor as his legitimate successor. When Nero gets a headache, she makes her drink her medicine despite her protests. Agrippina then talks about hiring Seneca as Nero's tutor to ingratiate herself to the Roman Senate.[5]
Later, while Nero is being prepared to show her face before Rome, Agrippina approaches her, taunting her by remarking how much she looks like she did when she was younger. However, Nero brushes her off and leave, to her irritation. She blames Seneca for making Nero too confident.[6]
Fate/EXTRA Last Encore[]
Agrippina appears in a flashback when Hakuno Kishinami explains Nero's past.[7]
Fate/Grand Order[]
Eternal Madness Empire: Septem[]
In the manga Fate/Grand Order -mortalis:stella-, a figment of Agrippina is shown haunting the memories of Nero, driving her to bouts of mad rage.[8][9]

When Sodom's Beast/Draco is attacked by Jack the Ripper, she is drawn into Jack's internal world and hounded by memories of Agrippina. This mental assault culminates in a battle against a giant ghost representing Agrippina named Mommy (おかあさん, okaasan?).[1]
