Aoko has had system of the Moon Cell come down on her in the past after screwing up with her Alterations, but she blames it on a Master during at least one of the occasions. They had wanted quasi-legal Alterations, but the extra skills she added brought about the system.
Aoko is greatly resemble to her counterpart except she has red eyes and wears blackish grey jacket, white pants with light blue belt with white stripes, and blackish grey shoes.
Aoko and her sister Touko hate each other greatly, and they do not act like sisters at all. There is a sudden wave of hatred that completely halts the Protagonist when they plan on asking if the two are actually sisters. Aoko calls Touko a "useless creature" like 8-track tapes of the C:\ prompt, and Touko calls her a "thing" and a "monkey" lower than dirt.
Touko constantly berates her, and chides her not to get caught by the system again. Aoko hates having to deal with her abuse daily, but says she will control her rage for now while visible veins are popping out from her clenched fists. The Protagonist is amazed that Aoko didn't immediately start throttling Touko after some of her snide and offensive comments.
Aoko and Touko are inside the chapel of Tsukumihara Academy, which exists as an area cut off from the system of SE.RA.PH and the rest of the world. They call it Eden of the East, where they allow the Protagonist and other Masters to increase the strength of their Servants through hacking.
Aoko performs Alteration of the Soul for Masters and Servants. There is a link between the souls of the Master and Servant, and that link can be increased as the Master's rank increases by hacking. She hacks into each soul, and allows for them to choose specific attributes be improved.
While Aoko's job is to perform Alterations made possible by various events, it can be said that she is less than useless. Even the Protagonist, a self proclaimed pseudo-magus, is able to see that Aoko isn't really suited for this particular task. While it would seem to be Touko's specialty instead, as she claims to be better at Alterations by a factor of ten, she does not do them due to being too busy. Touko suggests not putting any faith in Aoko's abilities, and suggests simply recovering spiritual statuses the Servant has lost.
