Berserker's True Name is Beowulf (ベオウルフ, Beourufu?), the protagonist of "Beowulf", said to be the oldest epic poem of English literature. The setting of the epic poem amounts to south of modern Sweden to the vicinity of Denmark.
This tale is composed by two parts; part one is the story about Beowulf proceeding to exterminate the giant Grendel together with fifteen of his subordinates, while part two portrays an aged Beowulf unfolding a mortal combat with a dragon, fifty years after. He lost the passion when he slew Grendel.
That being said, since the Beowulf in this work has been summoned in his golden age, he is a battle-maniac by nature. Seems that, if he were to meet Achilles or Heracles, he would end up entering a mode of "there is no choice but to talk with our fists!" Lacks most of the merits and demerits from Mad Enhancement, and even mutual understanding by means of conversation is possible. He possesses reason, and it is also possible to have a high grade conversation with him.
As a King, he ruled over his people well, but his current state of mind is closer to a terrorist. He believes that creation and destruction are but two sides of a coin and destruction is only a stepping stone for creation. He might not be a suitable candidate for kingship and he shares this sentiment. His longs for destruction more than any king, and his savagery which allowed him to slay even dragons did not diminish even as he grow old. However, he is kind to the weak. (His people and females)
Basically sees his Master as an equal or approaches them with minor superiority. Depending on situations, he would either agree or disagree with the Master. However, he is hardly a rational one, so he would most likely jump onto reckless gambles and risk his life to fulfill the mission assigned. While he has no desire for the grail, he would give everything he have to obtain it for the master simply because of their pleas.
"Well, heroes are all mostly people sharp yet messed up in the head. My work is to pulverize the worst of these lot."
"As you live a life as a hero, you will definitely encounter these people. Despite having the ability to handle the problems themselves, they chose not to as they find it a bother to think and begged for help instead. My reply is this : "Shut up and do your duty.""
"Kingship was not a suitable job for me. I will not hold onto it again."

The etymology of Berserker; one of the Servant Classes, is the berserk from Norse mythology, and it has been told that Beowulf's name also has its origins in this berserk. However, he accomplished the feat of dragon slayer while retaining his reason even after having aged and does not display even a fragment of madness.
While highly associated with the word Berserker, he never lost his sanity in life. Likewise, his Mad Enhancement merely makes him more rough, but with completely no enhancement in stats or weakening in reasoning. It is just to the degree of some ferocity being left, and there is no effect whatsoever to the Parameters.

It has been said that the dragon who fought the aged Beowulf would amass treasures and spit out fire--
It could be said that its existence is like an archetype of the dragons that appear in fantasy stories.
The two swords he normally uses are also existence that can be called magic swords, but the true power of Beowulf does not lay there.

 Fate/Grand Order - The Final Battle [T]
The Final Battle
My men were routed. Only two of us remained — I, worn and thin, and a young knight shaking in his boots.
Would this shield block the dragon’s breath? Even if it did, how would we defeat the beast? How difficult would it be to pierce a weak point, wherever that was?
Time slowed to a crawl, so I paused to think.
Why was I fighting? Did I really think I could?
My youthful passion should have left me long ago, replaced only by a mere desire for peace and quiet.
“…No, I see now.”
My long-lost fighting spirit blazed anew.
I would die here. Here was a fitting hell to end my life.
Once I grew old, I lost the passion I had when I slew Grendel.
Still, I left behind a peaceful land.
Countless people enjoyed serene lives. Even when things got tough, they strove to avoid despair and carry on.
“I guess I should act like a king for once.”
Not for myself. Not for honor, or riches.
I would fulfill my duty as a king.
Rise again, Beowulf. Though your strength is a far cry from your youthful vigor…
…it surely cannot be naught.
