Caster (キャスター, ^?), the magus, is one of the seven normal Servant classes summoned for the Holy Grail War. Servants placed within this class are adept in magecraft, and the only qualifying condition is the mastery of sorceries of the highest caliber compared to the specific parameter requirements of the other classes. Their class abilities are Territory Creation, altering the surrounding lands in favor of their sorcery, and Item Construction, which allows the magus to create magical items and tools. Due to not requiring any strong statistics, they generally have low combat abilities, and due to the majority of Servants having some form of Magic Resistance, this class is thought to be the weakest of all seven. This perception can be made into an advantage, as Casters are sometimes underestimated, often to the misfortune of their foes.

Unformatted by a Heroic Spirit, the base parameters of the Caster-class container are: Strength E, Endurance E, Agility C, Mana A, and Luck B.^[1]

Known CastersEdit

• Details are unknown for the Caster class Servants summoned during the First, Second, and Third Wars.
• The Caster Class Servant summoned during the Fourth War in Fate/Zero is Gilles de Rais summoned by Ryuunosuke Uryuu.
• The Caster Class Servant summoned during the Fifth War in Fate/stay night is Medea summoned by an unnamed Association magus who is killed by her. She manages to remain in the world long enough to meet Souichirou Kuzuki, who agrees to act as her Master. She herself also becomes a Master, but Assassin is a very irregular Servant due to not having been summoned by a human. Cú Chulain, summoned as Lancer, also has the qualifications to be summoned as Caster.
• The Caster Class Servants summoned during the Holy Grail War of the Moon Cell in Fate/Extra include Tamamo-no-Mae summoned by the Hakuno Kishinami, and the embodiment of Nursery Rhymes summoned by Alice.
• The Caster Class Servant in Fate/Extra CCC is Hans Christian Andersen, summoned by Kiara Sesshouin. He possesses no true Combat Aptitude, so he stands on the side lines and supports Kiara with his Noble Phantasm and Healing Magic.
• The Caster Class Servants summoned during the Holy Grail War of Fate/Apocrypha are Avicebron and Shakespeare. Semiramis, summoned as Assassin, also has the qualifications to be summoned as Caster.
• The Caster Class Servant summoned during the Holy Grail War of Fate/strange fake is Alexander Dumas summoned by the Police Chief of Snowfield.
