Heroic Spirit Lore Strange Tales ~ King of the Cavern Edmond Dantès ~Edit

In this story, Haydée acts as a narrator and a mysterious character that always appears behind the Count to warn or comfort him, being able to talk with him just with thoughts, and that no one else can perceive.[4]

While waiting for the first objetive in Faria's revenge to appear after inviting him to his home, Haydée warns Edmond that he should not have brought him here, but Edmond tells her to go away as it is not yet time for the two of them to meet.[4]

Haydée shows again later when he is going to confront Tarantella, and warns Edmond that this is way too dangerous. She wants him to live, and says that Faria would have wanted the same. Edmond says nobody knows what the dead want, and all he's doing is ridding himself of his own sorrows. Haydée wishes she could heal him of his sorrows, but Edmond tells her to begone, and to wait for him on the other side beyond love and hate.[5] After he loses the fight, Haydée calls out to him again and he asks her to give him more power. To what she responds he already has that power within him.[6]

At the very end, Haydée closes the tale by narrating that his tale of revenge in Rome was over; but this was only the vengeance for the sake of Abbé Faria, the other story of vengeance. And so this is just but the beginning of the Count of Monte Cristo's journey beyond love and hate, the tale of vengeance in Paris.[7]

AbilitiesEdit

Her mere existence in Heroic Spirit Lore Strange Tales is shrouded by mystery, only Edmond Dantès seems to be able to notice her presence, and says that her eyes "may be even able to foretell fate".[4]
