HephaestionWP (ヘファイスティオン, Hefaisution?) is a soldier of Iskandar's army. He is a Non-classed Servant summoned by Iskandar's Noble Phantasm Ionioi Hetairoi.

Background[]
Hephaestion was close to Iskandar in life, and his sister was Iskandar's body double. He was Iskandar's closest friend, said to have been the most beloved by Iskandar, to the point they were described by Aristotle as having the bond of 'one soul abiding in two bodies',[1] though he didn't think so himself. While his sister spread such information around, Hephaestion was aware that was simply counter-intelligence. Hephaestion was inserted at Iskandar's side so as, even if only a little, to reduce the chance of him being attacked.[2] His birth was orchestrated by Olympias, Iskandar's mother. She required a confidant for her son who would protect and never betray the King of Conquerors, and a mage who would defend the king from any oncoming curse. The former became the real Hephaestion, and the latter, his sister.[3][4]
In one famous episode, Iskandar laughed when Darius III's mother mistook Hephaestion for the King of Conquerors.[1] Hephaestion and his sister were both already dead by the time Iskandar died.[5]

Like all of his fellow comrades in Ionioi Hetairoi, he is unquestionably loyal to Iskander and always supports his cause.
His sister's relationship with Iskandar’s other retainers was rather poor, a daily pain in Hephaestion’s stomach as he tried to find a way to mend those relationships. If alive today, he would no doubt be accused of having a siscon streak in him. In a way, one could say that fear became accurate after his death.[2]
Iskandar thinks it would be interesting for Hephaestion to meet Iskandar's Master, Waver Velvet.[6]

Fate/Zero[]
Hephaestion is summoned along with the other members of Iskandar's army to fight Hassan of the Hundred Faces,[7] the Gigantic Horror summoned by Caster,[8] and Gilgamesh during the course of the Fourth Fuyuki Holy Grail War.[9] Upon his manifestation, he is the first to notice his sister’s absence from the gathered army.[2]
Abilities[]
When summoned as a Servant of Ionioi Hetairoi, Hephaestion does not have a Servant Class, his own Skills, or Noble Phantasms.[10] Servant Classes are unnecessary to be assigned to those summoned in such a capacity, and Noble Phantasms cannot be manifested due to the limitations of Iskandar's abilities.[10] He is granted E- Independent Action, so he can only exist for "30 turns" upon manifestation.[11]
Summoned as a proper Servant, Hephaestion would possess the Skill For He Is Another Iskandar (True), which gives him copies of Iskandar's Skills and Noble Phantasms. The difference between his version and his sister's "Fake" version of the skill is that his version does not copy the acquired abilities at a reduced rank. Conversely, it would be difficult to use them in the ways Faker does.[2]
