List of minor characters in the Fate series
Redirected from Himuro Kane
This is a list of minor characters appearing in Fate/stay night, Fate/hollow ataraxia, Fate/Zero, and other related stories.
Bedivere
Edit
Sir Bedivere (サー・ベディヴィエール, ?) is a member of the knights of the round table, and one of the few who remained loyal to his king until the end. He worked his way up to being an Imperial Guard who kept watch over Arturia out pure admiration for his king, and he simply wished to be close to her and see her true expressions. He found that even as the one knight who spent the most time around her, he never saw her smile even once and he also never learned of her identity as a woman. He attended to Arturia at her death, and found himself unable to return Excalibur to the lady of the lake twice because that would signal the end of the king's life. Even though disobeying an order is the greatest sin for a knight, he did not feel proper about returning the sword. He felt anger that the king who worked so hard wasn't properly rewarded, but being unable to change her fate, he properly returned the sword the third time. After she passed away, he was happy to see that she was finally able to obtain a peaceful slumber that she had been unable to find in life.
Class 2-C students
Edit

Added by EGGSClass 2-C is the classroom of Shirou Emiya. The Fate/stay night anime has designs for the other students in the class. Two include Dezaki and Fujimoto.
Gazamy
Edit
Gazamy the Evil Spook (, ?) is a magus that is considered to be the greatest disaster of the Mage's Association. While he is not that dangerous as a person, he has a magic attribute that is more troublesome to magi than any other ever recorded. It is implied that even Caster, a magus from the Age of Gods, would be affected to some extent. He has been locked away in the bottom of London Tower due to this reason. While he has not appeared in any Type-Moon works, Fate/complete material III suggests he will have a role eventually.[1]
Gil Brigade
Edit
The Gil Brigade are a group of children who follow the child version of Gilgamesh in hollow ataraxia. They consist of Jirou, the "Bland kid", Mimi, the one girl of the group who talks to Lancer while he is fishing, Imahisa, who makes fun of Lancer's cheap-looking fishing rod and for only being catch octopus, Kouta, who want to toss Lancer some fish, and Kanta, who was unable to read Gilgamesh's manga because he wasn't done with it.
Glen and Martha Mackenzie
Edit

Added by EGGSGlen and Martha Mackenzie are an elderly Canadian couple who live in Japan; their son, daughter-in-law, and grandson were unable to adapt to Japan and have returned to Canada. They provide lodgings for Waver Velvet, who has made them believe he is their grandson, and Rider.
Grail-kun
Edit

Added by EGGSGrail-kun (聖杯くん, Seihai-kun?) is a parody character in Carnival Phantasm. He is a mascot-styled version of the Great Grail that is voiced by Noriko Shitaya, the voice actress of Sakura Matou. He was originally part of the TMitter April Fools' Day site where he was listed as (せいはいくん, ?). His segments in Carnival Phantasm follow characters seeking help with their problems, and Grail-kun giving them a tool like the "Friendmaker" and the "Hero Creation Kit" in a Doraemon-like manner. Each tool is just a simple kitchen knife, and he implies that they use to solve their problems in violent manners like "show him who is boss" or "you'll become a hero after killing a million people."

He shows up only once in the original Fate/stay night visual novel, and, even though a graphic for him was created, it was never used in-game. He was redesigned for the anime, which is his first visual appearance.

Kane Himuro (氷室 鐘, Himuro Kane?) is a student at Homurahara School. She is a friend of Yukika Saegusa and Kaede Makidera, and a long jumper. She is considerate and intelligent.
Kay
Edit
Sir Kay (サー・ケー, ?) is Arturia's step brother, who she had thought was her real brother. They still loved each other as siblings even after finding out the truth. She would more or less act as his squire, doing chores and receiving training from him, but she was far better than him in swordsmanship. She never officially won a fight against him due to various petty excuses that always allowed him to win in their arguments, such as "You lose since you threw away your sheath!" or "I'm still alive so don't act like you won!" He knew of her true identity as a girl, but kept it a secret for life after being silenced by Merlin.
Once while attending to her while she was sick, she told him that she would like to have a dream of a lion running on a grass field. He fashioned a poorly carved wooden lion that looked like a combination between a dog and a cat, and left it by her bedside. When she thanked him and told him that she had a pleasant dream of a young lion, Kay was shocked as he intended to make a decrepit old lion that would have been unable to hurt a rat. He had been worried that the lion might pounce on her in her dreams.
Kotone
Edit

Added by FallaciesKotone (コトネ, Kotone?) is a second grade female student that attends Yatsushirodai Elementary School (八代台小学校, Yatsushirodai Shougakkou?), just outside Fuyuki City. She is a close friend and classmate of Rin Tohsaka during Rin's stay with her maternal grandparents during the events of Fate/Zero. Rin feels very proud of the trust and respect Kotone has for her. She feels it is good opportunity to put her family creed into action by standing up for Kotone, such as when she is bullied by the boys of their class or when the librarian forces work onto her. Kotone eventually vanishes from school much like many other children of the area. She is taken by Ryuunosuke Uryuu and Caster for use in their various human projects and sacrifices. Rin realizes the disappearances are related to Holy Grail War in some way, and feels that she is the only one able to help her.
Rin ventures into the city to search for her alone. It is implied that Kotone meets the same gruesome fate as most of Ryuunosuke and Caster's other victims during the novel. Rin begins to despair that the hope of finding her alive is slim, and eventually even thinks that she should have aimed to find her remains in the first place. She is never referenced again afterward. The anime version of the events play out differently, as Rin manages to follow Ryuunosuke to a old building where he is keeping a number of children. She finds Kotone among them, and she manages to save them all by shattering the magecraft that was holding them in a trance. Kotone returns to school afterward with the other victims.
Jubstacheit von Einzbern
Edit

Added by EGGSJubstacheit von Einzbern, also known as "Acht", is the eighth and current head of the Einzbern family. He wasn't around during Justeaze's era, but he has kept himself alive for nearly two centuries by continuously prolonging his life. He has a white beard that makes one think of a frozen waterfall, and Kiritsugu Emiya notices an astute light from his eyes that makes it impossible to see any senility and constantly brings about a feeling of bias and pressure every time Acht's gaze meets him. He has a close relationship with the Talbot farm that produces early autumn Darjeeling, and he has served the tea only to special guests for a number of years. Since taking the family under his leadership, they have changed their goals from "seeking the Holy Grail" to "winning the Grail War." Much like the rest of the family, he wishes to reobtain the Third Magic, but he has only known the pain of defeat in his efforts to reclaim it since the time of the Second Holy Grail War. After suffering failure during the Second and Third Grail Wars, the anxiety of facing the third opportunity during the Fourth War is extraordinary. All of his emotions can be condensed into the single word "Achievement", and Kiritsugu believes his spirit likely only has this rigidity towards achievement left.
During the Third War, both their Servant, Avenger, and the "vessel" of the Grail were lost early during the conflict. The battle was rendered meaningless because the "vessel" broke before a victor was decided, so it caused him to reflect on the creation of the "vessel." He decided to cover it inside a humanoid shape that has a consciousness and can self-manage, and used homunculi based on Justica for this purpose. The final product was Irisviel von Einzbern, whose daughter Illyasviel von Einzbern was also made to act as a vessel for the Fifth War. Unable to rely on the Einzbern magecraft in battle, he also decided to bring an outside magus into the family to act as the Einzbern's Master. He welcomed Kiritsugu Emiya as Irisviel's husband due to Kiritsugu's extraordinary skills. Kiritsugu refers to him as "old man Acht", and the two fought over details such as installing a telephone line and power generator, which is heresy to such an established magus. He prepared the excavation of Avalon from Cornwall to summon Saber, and proclaims that no one must survive the battle, allowing them to finally acquire the Golden Grail. After Kiritsugu's betrayal, rather than seeking to punish him, he never again allows Kiritsugu into their Bounded Field and keeps him away from his daughter. Kiritsugu believes that he either wishes to exile him to carry the the shameful title of traitor for the rest of his life, or to impose the most most severe punishment that can be inflicted by never allowing him to see his daughter again. Acht prepares Ilya for the Fifth Grail War, and instills upon her a great hatred for Kiritsugu.
Justeaze Lizrich von Einzbern
Edit
| Nasuverse character | |
| Justeaze Lizrich von Einzbern | |
| |
| Japanese name: | リズライヒ・ユスティーツァ・フォン・アインツベルン |
|---|---|
| Franchise: | Fate |
| Appears in: | Fate/stay night |
| Character type: | Homunculus |
| Gender: | Female |
| Hair color: | Silver |
| Eye color: | Red |
Justeaze Lizrich von Einzbern[2], known as the Saint of Winter, was a homunculus of the Einzbern family, who aided the Tohsaka and Makiri families in the creation of the Holy Grail War. Her family wished to have the Holy Grail after numerous failures, so they reluctantly agreed to work with the others under the guidance of Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg. Bestowed the title of archmagus, she was a powerful homunculus, who was essentially an enormous walking set of magic circuits and the designer of the Heaven's Feel system.
She was cold and aloof, and became the core of the Great Grail, in which she still lies. Successive models of homunculi descended from her, Illyasviel von Einzbern and her mother, Irisviel von Einzbern, each carry parts of her memories and personality, allowing them to access both when necessary. Ilya was able to access the record of the construction of the Greater Grail, and when speaking with Zouken Matou, who deeply loved Justeaze, Ilya takes on her personality.
Magical Caren
Edit

Added by EGGSMagical Caren is a antagonist and magical girl parody of Caren Ortensia that appears as a playable character in Fate/tiger colosseum Upper.
Master
Edit

Added by EGGSMaster (コペンハーゲンのマスター, ?) is the owner of the Copenhagen (コペンハーゲン, ?), a liquor store and bar that has employed Shirou Emiya for five years. He is the father of Hotaruzuka Otoko, who is also employed there. He is very generous to Shirou when paying him, willingly paying him a weeks worth of pay for only three hours of work, and he was the only person to hire Shirou after Kiritsugu's death made him feel a responsibility to pay for his own expenses. He likes sweet foods while his daughter likes spicy food, making Shirou see them as a well balanced family.
Merlin
Edit
Merlin (マーリン, ?) is an incubus hybrid who serves as Arturia's magus. He is an elderly man with an awful, childlike personality who is said to be a prankster and a womanizer. He is the cause of a number of problems, including stealing women's underwear, and the world would have been less chaotic had he not been so fond of pulling pranks. He was locked away because of his actions, but didn't regret it at all. He gave Arturia a penis for a duration of time, which allowed for the creation of Mordred from her sperm. He is shown speaking with Arturia during the "Last Episode" of Fate/stay night where he warns her of how she will suffer once pulling Caliburn from the stone. He is also shown telling her that in order for her to be reunited with Shirou Emiya that two miracles must be created, one of them must wait endlessly and one of them must pursue endlessly.
Minori Mitsuzuri
Edit

Added by EGGSThe younger brother of Ayako Mitsuzuri, and a Homurabara student in the same year as Sakura Matou. He has a crush on her, and views Shirou Emiya as his rival.
Nagato Tohsaka
Edit

Added by EGGSNagato Tohsaka (遠坂永人, Tohsaka Nagato?) was the founder of Tohsaka family of magi that began two hundred years ago. He was a pupil of Zelretch and worked together with Makiri Zouken and Justeaze Lizrich von Einzbern to found the tradition of Holy Grail Wars. He was considered to be a goof-up, much like Rin, and Zelretch's least promising apprentice, but he is still noted as one of the few of Zelretch's pupils who came back unharmed after his tutelage. It is noted that his daughter had more potential and ended up being more helpful in the construction of the Great Grail. Besides Magecraft, the Tohsaka family was, at the time, a family of martial artists, and Nagato believed that attaining emptiness through perfection of body was a way of reaching The Root. This practice was passed down through the Tohsaka family, evident in Rin's prowess in martial arts, which Kirei Kotomine also learned while being Tokiomi Tohsaka's apprentice. He was a hidden Christian, but was led astray by his master to become devoted to thaumaturgy. His family maintained good relations with the Church, and also received fine treatment from the Mage's Association. Ties with both organizations are what allowed them to start managing Fuyuki.
Natalia Kaminski
Edit
| Nasuverse character | |
| Natalia Kaminski | |
| | |
| Japanese name: | ナタリア・カミンスキー |
|---|---|
| Franchise: | Fate |
| Appears in: | Fate/Zero |
| Voice actor: | Watanabe Akeno |
| Character type: | Magus, Mixed-Blood |
| Gender: | Female |
Natalia Kaminski (ナタリア・カミンスキー, ?) is a freelance mercenary who sold information concerning Noritaka and his research on vampires. She rescues a young Kiritsugu from Arimago Island and takes him as her apprentice. She hunts those magi who received a Sealing Designation and sells their Crests to the Mage's Association. Natalia was the descendant of a half succubus from her ancestors and as such is she able to release all her preserved prana, in her body, in one go. Natalia’s strength in her arms, legs; her endurance, her instantaneous force – all her bodily abilities are greatly amplified. It’s something similar to the enhancement of the body by means of rune magecraft, but for a much shorter period. But to compensate for that, Natalia used extreme violence. During her last mission, she is able to successfully kill a magus that could create Ghouls through the use of ghoul bees, but dies when Kiritsugu shoots down the plane she is on to prevent the infected passengers from killing others when the plane landed. Kiritsugu's last words to her reveal that he viewed her as his mother.
Norikata Emiya
Edit

Added by Minako22Norikata Emiya is the father of Kiritsugu and fourth head of the Emiya family. He is a genius who received a Sealing Designation even though he only the fourth generation in a fairly young family. He managed to evade the enforcers for twenty years despite being actively hunted the entire duration of time, but his wife was slain by the enforcers right after Kiritsugu's birth. He eventually settled in Arimago Island with Kiritsugu while working on a potion to make the drinker into a Dead Apostle, so that he may continue his work for as long as he needs with the immortality. He had Shirley working as his assistant, and due to her overeagerness, she drank one of his experimental potions. After the outbreak of the Dead on the island, he is killed by his son before he can escape and resume his research elsewhere.
He researched Time Manipulation in his quest to reach the Root as had his ancestors. During his research, he managed to reduce the resistance on his family's personal acceleration and stagnation magecraft to almost zero. He theorized that because the Root is the beginning and end of everything, even if he couldn't travel backwards to the origin with his magecraft, he could still use it to reach the end by accelerating time. His ultimate plan was to create a compressed Bounded Field where he would infinitely accelerate the flow of time to watch the end of the universe.[3]
Otoko Hotaruzuka
Edit
| Nasuverse character | |
| Otoko Hotaruzuka | |
| | |
| Japanese name: | 蛍塚音子 |
|---|---|
| Also known as: | Neko (nickname) |
| Franchise: | Fate |
| Appears in: | F/SN, F/HA, KnK |
| Voice actor: | Yuhko Kaida |
| Character type: | Human |
| Gender: | Female |
| Hair color: | brown |
Otoko Hotaruzuka (蛍塚音子, Hotaruzuka Otoko?) is the daughter of the owner of a liquor store, The Copenhagen Bar. She dislikes her first name, which is phonically identical to the Japanese word for "male", preferring to be called "Neko" (ne being an alternative reading for oto). She feels attached to Shirou and always addresses him by a pet name, "Emi-yan". She has been friends with Taiga Fujimura since high school, and considers her to be a bad influence on her hard-working employee. In Kara no Kyoukai, the female drug dealer who gives Mikiya Kokutou information about underground activities and the identity of dealer who produces Bloodchips is also named Otoko Hotaruzuka. She is voiced by Yuhko Kaida.
Perseus
Edit

Added by EGGSPerseus (ペルセウス, ?) is a Greek hero known for killing the Gorgon Medusa with Harpe and later becoming the king of Mycenae. He is the son of Zeus, and the warrior most trusted by the gods at the time in the Greek world. He sought to challenge the monster to protect his fame and his mother, and traveled to the Shapeless Island that holds those exiled by the gods in order to claim its head. He was granted five Noble Phantasms, probably the most ever granted to a single warrior in the history of Greece, by the gods, which include Harpe, winged sandals, a mirror shield, a helmet of invisibility, and Kibisis, a bag to contain the beast's head. He gathered as much information as possible, formed a strategy to use his equipment, and sought out to gain glory and become a true hero. He was completely fearless until arriving at the island, where just the nature of the island's barrier made him uncertain of victory despite having gifts from the gods. He quickly began to lose any feeling of glory, and simply wished to slay the creature as soon as possible so he could leave. He felt complete dread upon meeting the gorgon, believing his promised glory to be useless and victory to be impossible even with the holy relics.
He used the mirror shield to keep from being petrified by the creature's eyes and the sandals to avoid its strikes, entering into a battle of attrition without any real chance of victory. He felt a true hero might be able to kill a creature that could be called a demon god, but felt someone who was still trying to prove himself had no chance. The only way for someone who still had human nature to defeat the creature was to allow it to encage itself in its own barrier by using Kibisis to reflect it back on its wielder. The beast, frozen upon suffering its own nightmare, was open to an attack from Harpe, and transformed back to the form of Medusa to allow her head to be taken. Rider claims that she disliked Perseus and the fact that he was the one who killed her, calling him a brat, and felt no sympathy for him even though it could be said he was also a victim of the gods. He later became a great hero, but she describes him as a "successful Shinji Matou."
In the original version of Fate, he was going to be the Rider class Servant.
Raiga Fujimura
Edit

Added by EGGS Raiga Fujimura (藤村雷画, Fujimura Raiga?) is the Oyabun (組長 family head) of a yakuza group operating in Fuyuki City, and is the grandfather of Taiga Fujimura. He was an old friend of Kiritsugu Emiya, and as a favor, manages Kiritsugu's estate after his death in place of Shirou Emiya.
Reikan Ryuudou
Edit
| Nasuverse character | |
| Reikan Ryuudou | |
| | |
| Japanese name: | 柳洞 零観 |
|---|---|
| Franchise: | Fate |
| Appears in: | Fate/stay night |
| Character type: | Human |
| Gender: | Male |
Reikan Ryuudou (柳洞 零観, Ryuudou Reikan?) is Issei's older brother and a judo specialist. His personality is similar to that of Fate/zero's Rider and he is more broadminded than his brother. There have been times when he's asked Taiga for a date and then ended up in the hospital thanks to her father's subordinates.
Saber Lily
Edit

Added by EGGSSaber Lily (セイバー・リリィ, ?) is an alternate version of Saber featured in Fate/unlimited codes as an unlockable alternate costume. She was designed by Takashi Takeuchi as another form of the King of Knights with an "emphasis on her girlishness." In contrast to the blackened Saber Alter, she is called the pure and sweet "Princess of Knights" who is shown to carry Caliburn rather than Excalibur. Her design was inspired by the dress Caster placed on Saber after she was captured during Unlimited Blade Works. The design was filled with the feminine qualities that Saber lacks, and "Lily" in her name refers to her skirt being designed to resemble the petals of a lily flower. She has no background information within unlimited codes or other side materials, but Nasu Kinoko and Gen Urobuchi joke about her being a version of Saber fully tamed by Caster during a discussion.[4] She has appeared in a number of promotional images with Saber, Saber Alter, and Red Saber.
Saber Lion
Edit

Added by EGGSSaber Lion is a parody of Saber featured as a playable character in Fate/tiger colosseum and Fate/tiger colosseum Upper. She is a small version of Saber dressed in a lion costume, and she is only able to growl "Gao!" to speak. She wields either Excalibur or a chunk of meat on a bone as a weapon.
Scathach
Edit
Scathach (スカサハ, ?) was the witch of the Land of Shadows, called a "scarier version of Tohsaka Rin", and Cu Chulainn's teacher. She was a person who became too close to the gods with a mortal body, and her existence began to be turned into a concept in the same way as Souren Araya. She was too skilled in the art of battle, too well versed in the arcane, and killed too many people, wraiths, and gods, which made her reach the point where even she could not take her own life. Her realm was essentially a land of the dead that is neither in the plane of the ethereal nor the plane of the living. She wished to die as a human being, and this situation is paralleled by Bazett's situation in the looped world.
Shirley
Edit
Shirley is a girl who lived on the same island as Kiritsugu Emiya. She was four years older than him and his father's assistant. She admired Noritaka's work and wished to succeed him even if the idea was impossible. She never went to elementary school as a child, and while she never learned anything except for reading and writing from the priest at the mission, she had gotten a Master's Degree at the age of thirteen by taking correspondence courses despite the the terrible educational environment on Arimago Island. When she drank a potion under development out of curiosity, she was transformed into a vampire, plead for Kiritsugu to kill her, and eventually died by the proverb "curiosity killed the cat."[5]
Stheno and Euryale
Edit

Added by EGGSStheno and Euryale, along with their younger sister Medusa, were legendary beautiful sisters born from the wishes of mankind for ideal goddesses. Stheno and Euryale were perfectly immortal, while Medusa was growing older and taller through time. Stheno and Euryale would often tease and bully Medusa for that reason and due to her Mystic Eyes petrifying anybody she gazed upon. Despite this, they bore no malice, and actually cared for her deeply. After they were exiled Shapeless Isle due to meddling of Athena, Medusa grew bitter and spiteful of humans. With the passing of time, she took a fancy to killing and eating humans that were invading the Shapeless Isle as they were lured by Stheno and Euryale's beauty. This turned her into an icon of terror, and, as she was shaped by humanity's wishes, corrupted her nature into the legendary Gorgon and made her lose her divinity. Realizing they were partially responsible for her transformation, Euryale and Stheno allowed themselves to be devoured by the now monstrous Medusa.
Stray Servant
Edit

Added by Michael Roa ValdamjongThe Stray Servant (はぐれサーヴァント, ?) was one of the heroine candidates of Fate/stay night when Shirou had a larger harem. She was to be a servant with a shield who killed her master and stayed in the world after the end of the Fourth Grail War like Gilgamesh. She would have been an "abandoned puppy" heroine, and one of Saber's rivals.[6]
Yukika Saegusa
Edit
| Nasuverse character | |
| Yukika Saegusa | |
| |
| Japanese name: | 三枝 由紀香 |
|---|---|
| Franchise: | Fate |
| Appears in: | Fate/stay night |
| Voice actor: | Eri Nakao |

| Gender: | Female |
| Height: | 155 cm |
| Weight: | 39 kg |
