Tobimaru Tsukiji (槻司鳶丸, Tsukiji Tobimaru?) is a character in Mahou Tsukai no Yoru. He is the popular vice-president of the Student Council, the classmate of Aoko Aozaki, and becomes Soujuurou Shizuki's best friend.

He and Aoko were close friends as children, though they both deny having any feelings for one another.
His family life is apparently complicated and he is known to casually smoke and spend nights out. He's aware that Aoko, Alice, and Riddell are involved in "occult stuff", but he doesn't know the details.

Nasu's comment: He's is a young man that's pleasant to write about, that one. Pessimistic, socially righteous, a delinquent way of talking, but despite that he still seems like a prince. If you understand those 4 points, you'll get his personality. He has a bad mouth but his disposition is meticulous and rational. He won't hesitate to say that while the elite's ideas are good, the elite themselves are basically scum. Of course, Tobimaru himself is included among them. The reason I asked for him to have a coat like Detective Columbo is because I wanted him to be a handsome man who looked good even if he dressed sloppily, like a relic of the 80s. Even a woollen pink sweater would surely look good on him. He is just too handsome.
Koyama's comment: Although he's a sub-character, his design was unexpectedly a difficult one to settle on. Although his original Takeuchi design draft wasn't made public, it seems that it was something roughly like this. He had the combination of a well raised effeminate daintiness and a naughty wild side coexisting. In my opinion he is probably mentally mature without being distorted or unreasonable. I think his design turned out to be one that I couldn't have come up with alone. It appears that he forms quite the nice combination together with Soujuurou, I wonder if we will get to see more of their activities moving forward.

書いていて気持ちの良い男子、そのいち。厭世的、社会正義、ヤンキーロ調、でも王子様、の四点を押さえておけばまずブレない人物です。口は 悪いが性格はきめ細かく理性的。エリート思想を良しとしながらエリートは基本クズ、と公言してはばからない。無論、その中には薦丸自身も含 まれている。私服を刑事コロンボみたいなコートにしてもらったのは80年代の残滓というか、やぼったい恰好でも似合う美男子にしてほしかっ たから。きっとピンク色の毛糸のセーターを着ても似合う。まさにイケメンにかぎる。

サブキャラですが、思いの外デザインは難航しました。元々の武内デザイン原案は世に出てないはずですが、大体こんな感じとしてあったようです。 育ちのいい女性的な繊細さとヤンチャなワイルドさが同居しており、無理をしてる歪さはなくて多分精神的には成熟してるんだろうなと思います。 なかなか自分だけでは出てこないデザインになったと思います。草十郎とは良いコンビになるそうで、今後もっと活躍が見込めるのではないでしょ うか。 - Birthday: September 12
